Summer fun!

It has been awhile since I last blogged so let me apologize for the picture overload, but Carter is just too cute I couldn't pick just a few.  We are having a great summer and are very sad that it is coming to an end. We always do something fun on the weekends. We've been to a couple of beaches, out to my parents house, on a hike, swimming in the pool and to some parks.  We love to play outside! Especially Carter. We take him out and lay on a blanket and he is so funny! He just lays there and squeals the whole time, it is so cute.
Carter also likes to watch tv...no matter where we put him he manages to see what is going on.

Sometimes we let Carter come snuggle with us in bed in the morning. This is him snuggling with mom and...

with dad. Makes me laugh every time:)

Happy boy in the morning!

Carter's first taste of rice cereal...he didn't love it.  Since then we have tried a few other foods and he seems to like those more, especially sweet potatoes.

Two of Kevin's old roommates came up for a weekend, we spent Saturday morning with them and then had them over for Sunday dinner. We had a lot of fun. On Saturday we went on a hike to a beach. Somehow this is the only picture I took the whole time-probably because it started to rain.  It was a really pretty hike and the beach was so pretty. There was a fun park too with a volleyball net and horseshoes. I wish we could have stayed longer but sadly it started to rain shortly after we got there.

Just a really pretty sunset

On another Saturday my family came out and we took them to a beach. We had lots of fun flipping rocks to find crabs and playing with Carter and having a picnic.

My mom had brought us a big box of peaches and zucchini and green beans from her garden-I love when my mom comes over:) So I spent the evening freezing peaches and making baby food for Carter. It was a good day.

When Kevin gets home from work we like to go for walks or go swimming or play outside.  We are lucky we have a park right across the street from us:) And we are in walking distance to a lake that we love to go to and watch the ducks.

We went to my parent's house for my mom's birthday. We had a great day, I think all my mom wanted for her birthday was to play with Carter and that was ok with me.  I got to make her a birthday cake with my sister and sew this dinosaur for Carter. I think it turned out pretty cute and he seems to like it.

We love spending time in Carnation and walking down to the river. It's one of my favorite places to be:)

2 year anniversary

Happy 2 years to my love. It's been an amazing two years and we can't wait for the many more to come. We had a great day, Kevin is so good to me. He let me sleep in a little bit and brought me breakfast in bed, then surprised me and came home from work early with some of my favorite candy bars and took me out to dinner. I sure love my man!

6 months old!

How is it possible that I've had a baby for half of a year?! Time is flying by and Carter is getting so big.  His little personality is coming out and we are so in love with him.  He is a very chill baby, he likes to observe things a lot, he is so sweet and SO smiley. I don't know how I got so lucky. He had his check up this morning and weighed 15 lbs 4 oz and was 25.5 inches long. He likes to chew on everything, we loves to play outside. We always lay under a tree and he just watches the leaves blow in the wind and yells and talks the whole time. He had his first taste of solid food-he's tried rice cereal, sweet potato, avocado and green beans. He is ticklish on his tummy and thighs.  He does not like loud noises, he cries every time I use the blender and he does not like green beans. He wants to move so bad-he lays on his tummy and tries so hard to scoot forward but hasn't quite figured it out yet. He just lifts up his arms and legs and waves them around like he is trying to swim-it is quite hilarious, poor baby just wants to move.  I am just trying to enjoy my days of having a baby that isn't mobile yet, cause I know once he figures it out he will be trouble.
He loves to sit up like a big boy on the couch, he gives me a huge grin every time I let him sit there.
