Happy birthday to Kevin! This year was Kevin's golden birthday, 24 on the 24th:) We started celebrating on Saturday with pizza and a movie. On Sunday I made him special birthday pancakes with a candle in them, which we couldn't light cause we had no matches...So instead the wax just melted into the pancakes while we took pictures:) They were yummy though. After church we went to my parent's house and made carrot cake from scratch and had stroganaff for dinner, its Kevin's favorite. We had a great day!

Thanksgiving weekend
We spent Thanksgiving with my family and stayed over for a couple of nights. I hadn't been home for Thanksgiving in 5 years so it was really fun! We headed up on Wednesday and spent the day making pies and stuffing and painting a dresser that we bought at a garage sale for baby boy's room:)
This is the only before picture I have of the dresser, but it is after we sanded it all down. |
And after. We love how it turned out! |
On Thanksgiving we went for a nice jog down my favorite trail then got everything ready for dinner. Me and Kevin were in charge of make a fruit platter. Thank you pinterest for helping us make it a cute little turkey fruit platter:) We had lots of yummy food and good family over for dinner. At the end of the day we were ready to sit in front of the fireplace and watch a movie...and have some more pie of course:)
On Friday we did a little bit of black Friday shopping with my parents and they took us to Red Robin for lunch. Then we spent the rest of the day working on some craft projects and decorating for Christmas! I'm so grateful for my family and I had such a great weekend with them!
My parents let us have this cute little tree for our apartment |

Pumpkin Patch
I know Halloween was a long time ago, but I have to play catch up. Kevin had never been to a pumpkin patch before so I took him to one and we picked out a pumpkin and carved it. We spent that day in Carnation with my parents. We had yummy Halloween treats, drank apple cider and watched Hocus Pocus. I felt like a little kid again:) I love October!
We took turns carving and each did one eye...that's why they are lopsided:) |
Unfortunately on Halloween Kevin was in Walla Walla for work so I didn't do much of anything but eat candy... so it was a pretty good day:)
